STUTTERHEIM Shot by: George Morris
London-based photographer George Morris says that his main source of inspiration is film. From being a young kid watching big blockbusters such as Lord of the Rings to growing up and realising the importance of storytelling within each aspect of a scene – a realisation that defines his approach to photography no matter if he’s working on a commercial shoot, editorial or private project.
Boredom and Butterflies
We reached out to George and asked him to shoot some of our core styles. The cinematic influence is ever present and the series of photographs we got seem to tell a story – a love story, a London love story, a summer-in-the-city love story, where emotions shift between boredom and butterflies.
George got into photography at age 18, when he “picked up a camera, found the passion and just ran with it”. He moved on to study at university and after graduating started working with fashion photography and direction.
“I believe my surroundings are hugely important, it's not particularly other photographers/directors that give me inspiration, but my team and friends within the industry. Seeing them succeed inspires me to celebrate and continue to grow.”
He’s currently working on two personal projects outside his commercial work – one involving a new family member and their importance and the other focusing on young love. To explore more of George’s work, head over to his website or find him on Instagram @__georgemorris__.
