Svea Bag – Elizha Colquitt’s Favourite Accessory
Scrolling through Philadelphia-based men’s fashion content creator Elizha Colquitt’s Instagram page, it soon becomes evident that he has a soft spot for our Svea Bag. In almost every post, there it is, causally dangling from his hand or thrown over his shoulder. It appears in several manifestations – dark green, off-white and shining black. With these three colours at hand (no pun intended), it seems there is no outfit that Svea Bag doesn’t go with. From neutral shades, all black or pop-coloured fits – Svea Bag is the accessory that completes the look.
We contacted Elizha to find out more about his fondness for Svea Bag, streetwear fashion and creating fierce fits.
When and why did you start to become interested in men’s fashion?
I became interested in men’s fashion when I was very young. When I was 12 years old, I found my uncle's GQ magazine and wondered, “Where are the people who dress like this and where are they going? What do they do for a living?” I quickly became obsessed with not only the art form of fashion, but the lifestyle associated with it.
When and how did you start your journey as a content creator?
I started my journey as a content creator two years ago and began by styling outfits with my clothes and taking pictures of them. I have a unique way of styling pieces and I wanted to show others how to do the same.
When and how did you first hear about STUTTERHEIM?
I found out about STUTTERHEIM about two years ago as well and found out about the brand on Instagram. I loved the interpretation of rainwear and how fashionable it is, while still being functional.
What is it about Svea Bag that you like?
One, I love that it’s waterproof. I spend a lot of time outside and having a bag that’s weatherproof helps me keep all of my things safe all day. Then there’s the size of the bag and the unique shape. The shape is a little abstract and I’ve always loved abstract designs. I use it every day.
What advice do you have regarding styling bags with an outfit?
I think the first questions you should ask yourself when styling a bag is “What’s my agenda for the day? Where am I going? And what do I need to bring with me?” Those questions should guide you into what bag you would need and what best suits you for the outfit. Or you can just bring the Svea Bag every day like I do, because it’s the perfect size and good for any occasion.
