The Arholma is named after a small idyllic island in the northernmost part of the Stockholm Archipelago – it is also the birthplace of Stutterheim.
While visiting that island, our founder discovered his grandfathers old fisherman’s raincoat. Feeling his unmistakable presence, he was inspired and set out to create a modern take on the traditional raincoat, an homage to those worn by Swedish fishermen past – thus the Arholma, and Stutterheim, was born.
The Arholma is so iconic in fact, that it now sits proudly within the permanent collection at Nordiska Museet (The Nordic Museum) in Stockholm.
Produced in limited quantities, it will always be the original Stutterheim raincoat.
