Are you our new CFO?
We have the pleasure to present a great and exciting opportunity for a bright, analytical and hard-working individual to become our new CFO for STUTTERHEIM - the Swedish fashion brand that created the original raincoat. As a company we have recently transformed from a traditional wholesale operation into a digitally focused direct-to-consumer business with strong growth in all our channels. A small and sharp team of dedicated professionals have taken the STUTTERHEIM brand and company close to a 100M SEK in turnover by being fully geared towards sales and marketing. We are now looking for a CFO to join on our growth journey by ensuring a efficient admin processes, sound strategic decision making based on solid facts, as well as a data driven daily business management.
The CFO we are looking for should have a background in finance and accounting, e.g. as an accountant or controller, while at the same time being passionate about the fashion and apparel industry. Given our relatively manageable size today, we suspect this might be the first time you get to call yourself a CFO, a dream that you perhaps have carried for some time!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate must possess a strong background in finance and management.
At first you will be working closely with our external accounting partner, but over time you will recruit and build your own team. You will report directly to CEO and take part in areas such as procurement, growth planning, marketing, and reporting etc.
Your qualifications:
An academic degree in business and economics, CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
Strong finance-based analytical skills
+8 years of experience from finance and accounting (K2 & K3)
Proactive approach in financial guidance, monitoring and evaluating P&L
Knowledge in tax & salary management
Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
Result-orientation, self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem solving
Your responsibilities:
Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to CEO
Pro-active financial recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors
Support the financial planning and analysis efforts
Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
Managing the ongoing bookkeeping and accounting processes
Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions
Being the point of entry for bank and/or auditor
Supporting management with insights for margins, inventory levels, cash forecasts, and cost break-downs
